On Wednesdays We Wear: Statement Necklaces

That’s right! Statement Necklaces!

Now when these large, often clunky necklaces first became a huge hit, I was on the opposing side. I found them to be too heavy, too expensive, or more often then anything else, just too fancy for my everyday clothes. That is until I learned how to wear them.

You don’t need any special outfit or budget. Statement necklaces can be worn down with an old t-shirt or dressed up with a dress. It’s completely up to you! More then anything else, a good statement necklace must be worn with confidence. If you feel like it’s too large, or draws too much attention towards you, then you may want to step back for a minute and re-evaluate. I find that sometimes when I put on a statement necklace I feel too out there, so I switch to a different shirt or try a pop of color somewhere else to pull some attention away from the necklace.

Anyways, now I’m just rambling on and on, so I’ll show you some of my favorite Statement Necklace looks. And if you stay until the end, then you can check out some of my favorite stores to purchase some amazing statement necklaces of your own.

Enjoy!

One of my favorite tops to pair with a good statement necklace is a nice stripped blouse. Talk about a statement. Pick out a nice pop of color in a purse, shoe, or lipstick to complete the look.

This is a prime example of how a statement necklace can dress up and outfit. Wear this to a graduation, birthday, wedding, or job interview (if it fits the job). This look is very put-together and at the same time playful.

I love working my statement necklaces on top of a good jean shirt. The look is polished yet casual.

As promised, I have added some stores that I often shop at for things such as some of these awesome statement necklaces. If you are looking for an affordable statement necklace then check out some of the below stores:

If you are looking for something a little more pricey, then here are a few more of my favorite places to purchase some damn beautiful statement necklaces among other things.

Love Always,

I'm Back!!!

AND I’m utterly mortified, hence the usage of the word utterly, because that word in itself is mortifying.... ANYWAYS... I’m so sorry I have been M.I.A. for the past month or so. I have been very busy with certain projects in my life and have been very poor at focusing on my hobbies such as this wonderful blog I call home.

There really is nothing I want to do more then to just get back into the swing of things here. So I decided to focus this weeks KNH moment on a makeup look that I am IN LOVE WITH currently.

DARK LIPS!!!

Let us proceed...

While I’m a fan of a good nude lip, and often find myself grabbing way too many shades of pink in the lipstick isle, I have found myself gravitating towards a darker lip these past few weeks. Let me show you just a few of the dark lips I have been raving about in my everyday life.

A little Queen B action.

P.S. Lily Collins is my dark lip idol. (that sounds weird now that I read it out loud, oh well) Seriously, that girl knows how to rock some amazingly dark lips.

If you know what color this is or a similar color to this, PLEASE help a sister out. I am absolutely head over heals for this beautiful shade of red.

Can I just be half as cool as this chick?

I don't even know what to do now except run to the store with these images in hand. "Excuse me ma'am, can you help me find these lovely lipsticks please?" haha. Well I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend, the regular "On Wednesday's We Wear" posts will continue this upcoming Wednesday.

Hint: This upcoming Wednesday has something to do with making a bold statement, something much similar to the last photograph on this post.

Enjoy you beautiful you!

Love Always,

Kirsten Nicole
